bit of creaking going on at the front of the bike, took it all apart and noticed that the lower cup was wobbling in the frame. though i'd ovlised my custom solitude's headtube, so was a bit gutted.

friend had a look later on, and gave it another wiggle, and the cup's broken. the bit which is in the frame is still in the frame, and the bit which houses the bearings has come clean off! its been in the frame nearly 5 years, never used with anything longer than 120mm forks.

I think the headset is 7 years old, so should be within warranty.

so do i go via the importers, or direct??

They'll tell you it's not possible that it broke under normal operation and it must have been your fault

I'd try shooting off an email to them direct with a pic
They may them send you to the UK importer/distributor

spoke to the importers, who begrudging suggested i post it to them after i explained that 7 years on, and in a different country, i don't know where the recipt is.
