I'm looking to get my 2015 Orbea rallon back up and running for the wife to use, but I'm lacking a set of forks for it (I knew I shouldn't have sold the lyrik last year - doh).

What fork options do I have for <200 quid? They should be around 160mm travel, tapered steerer, 15mm axle, non boost.

I don't want those awful cheap Chinese forks I've seen on ebay , they do need to be semi competent.

Those Suntour forks? I think the Chiggle giants have them reduced to that sort of price.

If you can live with using a Boost adaptor I've a set of Yaris I need to sell. I was thinking of around £230 for them.

BOS Devilles best 26/27.5 out there always cheap as customer service was poor but easy to service & perform better than most other forks for price.

With less than £200, you couldn’t even get the Bos serviced and working if someone gave you a free pair! I’ll find a Chiggle link for the Suntour ones…

Thanks those suntour ones do look to be the only option, do they actually work reasonably well? Or are they just junk?

Spoken like a man who used to sell BOS 🙂

They're great forks for the most part, and easy to do a basic service on, but yeah, I'd hate to be chasing spares or warranty.

Bos forks are flippin bonkers in the performance dept.

Try emailing Bos a simple question not to hear back meant never again

Plenty of 2nd hand forks for that money - do you want/need new?

Doesn't need to be new, but I haven't seen anything second hand for that money that didn't appear absolutely ****ed already.

I’ve got a 130/160 travel adjust 27.5 pike that I was gonna list on here later for £180 if they are any use? The lowers are fairly scuffed, stantions have no marks, and some brake hose rub on the crown but all function fine

X fusion Sweeps are good for the money if you can get cheap deals. The RL2 model can be easily upgraded to the roughcut damper to give a surpringly good ride. Not sure about the Suntour Aions but they get good reviews for the money, see Pinkbike.
