....are they a standard size/fit ? I want to bleed my new GRX front brake and the one in my toolbox isn’t there, so going to buy one online somewhere.

It's the kind of thing we have kicking about at work. Unfortunately I'm not at the office and won't be for some time.

I think I have a spare you can have. I will check when I get home from work later tonight

I've got a few of those in the spares box.

Let me know if you want one and I'll stick it in the post tomorrow.

Just chop a wedge out of a bit of wood and jam it between some old pads.

Cheers folks, found one for £3 posted on eBay so all good. Thank you for all the kind offers though, much appreciated.

I remember a thing about needing to make them thinner to reduce bite point, but think that was a few generations of xt type systems ago ?

That's what I did Iain, made them thinner so there's a bit more fluid in the system. I've not bothered since changing to the XT8000's

£3 posted, I have thrown hundreds of those in the bin at work, could have paid for a new bike by now.

Yeah, I’m sure I had at least 3 of them in my rather well organised toolkit/spares drawers so **** knows where they’ve gone ! No worries, new one coming tomorrow and a wee fettle thereafter to get a brand new lever just right. I may well ride it beforehand though given the cracking forecast and a day off work, gentle trails round local windfarm so no major braking required.. 😜
