[Closed] Charging exposure joystick from dynamo

I have an Exposure Revo and the SP Dynamo hub. I have just borrowed a joystick from a mate a noticed that the charging port is the same as the one on the Revo that the dynamo plugs into.

Any one know if you can charge the Joystick from the dynamo?

I get issues with variable power output from mine.
I run the SP through a Kemo172 but I think that if you get the one up from that model you should be ok.

I didn't mean through a USB interface I meant directly using the same cable that plugs into the Revo. Variable output shouldn't be an issue as I just want to charge a battery. I guess though if the Revo works some voltage changing magic then that could be a problem without the USB interface.

I kind of know Ian though so I'll give him a shout.

It would seem the answer is no. This is from the Exposure website:

"Warning, do not attempt to power any other Exposure Lights directly from the hub as the unregulated current will cause damage to the circuitry."
