[Closed] Charging a power pack from a dynamo

I've got a pebble thing but it doesn't charge through a Kemo usb whatsit. I assume it's some clever electronics to stop it. Can someone recommend a power pack that would charge? Or solar thingy?

Thanks

I've got a widget somewhere to do that. I'll sort that out for you, just like I sorted you out that dynamo I didn't sort out.

The Kemo should charge it just fine. I can charge a (different make) Power pack with mine.

Interesting. I can charge my phone through the kemo so just assumed it was something to do with the pebble hence asking about a different powerpack.

@scotroutes which pack have you got please?

Grab yourself a little USB meter like one of these https://www.amazon.co.uk/Muker-KCX17-Voltage-Multimeter-chargers-capacity/dp/B01BTRLVYQ/ref=sr_1_2 , plug it in and go for a ride. After half an hour or so check how much charge has passed through the meter.

Try a different power pack - just in case yours is borked. Also if your power pack is completely empty it might need a bit of charge adding via another method before the dynamo/kemo will charge it. Of course if you can't charge it by any means then ...

I'm guessing the pebble needs a stable voltage. Buffer battery?

You're probably right about a buffer battery. So that would simply be a less sophisticated battery pack being charged and discharged at the same time? So could you have a chain of batteries all charging one to the next?

Yep. The keno outputs 300mA but the pebble needs 1A to charge. That velocharger looks neat for the money and outputs up to 1.5A.

Thanks for the advice, I'm momentarily an expert.
