Just wondered what peoples experiences with changing the bearings out on these. Did you use Hope bearings or Enduro ones?
The Enduro ones on ebay don't use the plastic top hat, the id is 24mm, wondering if the seals are any better.
Cheers

If it's the same enduro bearings as BETD sell for Shimano BBs, they're pish. Expensive pish too.

just get SKS branded (or other decent brand like NTN, FAG etc) bearings from a industrial bearing supplier.

I initially thought Frankie may be right. Last time I fitted new bearings to my Hope BB* I used Hope bearings and I seem to recall (all a bit hazy now....) I had to use the Hopes. However, the ebay ad says clearly that the Enduro bearings are a straight swap, so I guess it's just a question of which bearing is better, as you say.

Not used the Enduros on the MTB but my pressfit bearings on the roadie have been very good.

* the Hope tool makes it very easy 8)

You have to buy hope bearings as hope own the licence for that particular size at the moment.

from the ebay ad: (nothing to do with me)

24mm ID/inner diameter. Full bearing dimensions are 37x24x7 (mm) This is the same size as Hope's INA BB bearings.

I wouldn't do that if I were you 😀

How much are the hope bearings?

Hope don't own the license for that size but only a couple of companies produce them.

They are not a standard size and I would be surprised if a non MTB company would have them in stock.

My Hope bb is 18 months and still going

Hope bearing for the most part come from INA, so are good quality bearings, £14 is OK for a pair just pop the seals and fill them with grease!

Running my Hope ceramic BB for nearly 3 years now, still smooth - have you a problem with yours?
