Just fitteon a d a new chain on a SRAM 1x11 system it feels like its dragging could the chain ring be worn , the bike is just about two years old with plenty of use. How long do front chainrings last on a 1x11 system.

Depends on what you've been riding in. My first chainring (raceface) lasted a year riding mainly around The Dales. The main symptom was bad chain suck.
Do you have another chainring, one with little or no use, that you can compare your current one against?

Have you fed the chain through the derailleur correctly? On some there is a small metal tab between the two jockey wheels which you need the chain to be on the correct side of.
