I've been thinking of fitting a chain guide to my '09 model Five. I've been running 22/34 with an E-Thirteen bash for the last year, but I'm tired of the chain slapping off the inner ring.
However, that year's Five lacks an ISCG mount, so I'd have to use a bottom bracket mount. Anyone have any experience of doing this? Any problems/particular recommendations on mounts, or guides?
Couple of mates have stuck twin ring guides on their Fives - 1 uses a DRS, one uses a Gamut. Both BB mounted without any problems. I think almost anything should be ok on the frame.
ime, there are more issues with crank arm compatibility - I tried to stick one on my Marin with a RF Atlas crankset & the granny ring fouled the inner plate. Got an SLX crank and all seems fine.

Thanks guys, and thanks Icj, I'd missed that in my search.
