My 12 month and 3000 miles old wireless Cateye computer has stopped showing speed or changing any other readings . ie nothing is getting from sensor to head unit. Cycling through the "pages" shows a non changing reading.
Changing the battery on the sensor did nothing.. All is set up correctly. The obvious thing is to change the head unit battery . Easy but will I lose the memory. I am not worried about settings but the total mileage is important. I can't believe that this would be lost as battery replacement would be anticpated but does any one know for sure?

but you can re enter the mileage when you fit the new battery.
if youve lost the instructions, you can find them on the cateye website.

Why put a odo that keeps total mileage then allow that to go when the battery does.
