So I've got a new fork worth a carbon steerer, any advice on what our use to cut out down? Also is there any special nonsense I need to do in terms of grease/carbon paste or what not when putting on the Crown race and inserting into the headset or do I just deal with it like alloy?
Cheers

I've always just cut them down with a regular hacksaw. Go for a blade with a high tpi and take care and it'll be fine.

Normal hacksaw but watch out for carbon burr, they are lethal when they stick in u

Normal hacksaw but with a bit more of a used blade so it's slightly less aggressive, wrap the area you are cutting in electrical tape & take it steady, it will stop it splintering

This, don't use a new blade.
Don't use any grease either.
