Cleaning my Proven Xc rims at the weekend and noticed this line on the rear. Perfectly uniform and can’t feel anything to the touch or the old finger nail test.

mould line that's been lacquered over, the sunlight caught the fibres and highlighted it in a way you'd not seen before.
... is a guess that someone might make.
