I've got a flat bar giant fcr 08 model which has alu forks. I would like to get a pair of carbon forks to take some of the road sting away. The models further up the fcr range have a carbon T700 fork but as they are rather expensive to buy from a giant dealer I was looking for an alternative but don't know the trail/rake etc. Can anyone help or point me in the correct direction, or does it really matter that much?

Just email or phone Giant (contact details on their website). I've always found them very helpful.
