As title
Sold frame, was fully working before
I stripped frame but left cable outers in place
Buyer says he can’t build up as cable guide below B.B. is missing and has requested a refund
Suggestions?
Find him the part
Refund?
I reckon he has lost it?

I wouldn't go down the refund route if you were sure it was there when you sold it.
See if you can get a replacement sent out by Canyon.

Is it a specific cable guide for the Nerve? They're pennies to buy if its standard one, just get one and post.

To me, if the buyer wants a refund due to this then he/she has decided they don't like the frame for some reason.

Do a part refund for the price of the guide.

Which year? Around 2012? Google the technical manual, just checked and it’s the same one as my strive if so. I’ve just enquired about one they’re about a tenner plus post. Easy enough to lose in transit tbh, if you hadn’t realised it was a loose item it may have fallen out in packaging, but could well be a flounce on buyers part if they’ve gone straight for a refund.

A1005071 is the part no listed for the double B.B. guide, ordered via canyon support.

Worth getting a derailleur hanger at same time to make the postage worth while.

Seem to recall the front deraileur outer cable being able to hold the guide in place provided it isn't pushed about too much. It's only a few cm long with a relatively tight bend. The parts slot in together enough that it doesn't spring apart or just fall out. Would be a bit pissed off if I needed to spend a tenner on that tiny bit of plastic tho!

WHat are ebay likely to do if I refuse a refund stating that all parts were there

they will side with the buyer absolutely 100% of the time regardless of how much proof or evidence you have to disprove the buyers claims.

Just send them a lmgtfy link for 'bottom bracket cable guide' and a part refund for 50p.

My second hand rocket arrived without a BB cable guide.. by some miracle I was able to google for, purchase and fit a generic one. How the other half live!

I would be that if you offered them a full refund if they return the bike they will not do so

😆

Was this his/her first interaction with you? Have they checked the bottom of the box?

I really, really would not go down the refund path unless absolutely necessary. If nothing else you have no idea what condition it will be returned in (as TJA says – assuming it is returned).

Seems to be a specific part where the internal cables exit
