our house insurance is due for renewal. However we can't seem to get anyone to insure us due to a claim a few years ago.
they best we can get is £1000 per bike (which comes well under)
current insurance is with AXA
they said bike claims have gone up 600%
my wifes tried loads of places and all the same answer...no
arhhh.
any ideas?
Have you tried M&S and The AA?
Or you could try a policy just for the bikes, although that's usually the least cost effective option
Try pedalcover, we had an £8k claim for bikes just under 3 years ago with M&S who didn't load the premium the next year but more than doubled our renewal quote this year. I've managed to get buildings and contents with £9k of bike cover for £300ish with Pedalcover this year.
axa are the underwriters for pedal cover and thats who our claim was with.
Ah, AXA underwrite M&S too.
Spend more effort on making sure its very flippin difficult to nick and less time trying to insure against it?
