I am travelling from Manchester down to Gloucester next Tuesday (blagging some time from work) and thought I would throw the bike in the car.
Havent ridden Cannock for a couple of years or more and thought I would call in, has the recent bad weather (recent? who am I kidding all year has been pants) had a bad affect on trails or is everything ok?
Off piste has moist cake in places. Imagine FYD / Donkey will be pretty good.
Built trails at Cannock are fine in the wet generally. Sure the craters are likely to be full of water but it won't be boggy.
Cannocks always execellent whatever the weather, if you don't like the puddles just wheel round them, anywhere there are any are nearly always avoidable, as composite says it's never ever boggy. Make sure you do the monkey, and not just the dog as it's just excellent. Follow any signs that say diversion is my tip as well.
