Might have a venture over tomorrow and do the normal trails and venture onto SC

How easy is it to find Stile Cop from FTD/Monkey etc?

Never tried those trails myself but they're a short drive from Birches Valley Car park.

Yeah, seen that info on how to get there, but was wondering about staying on the bike, rather than doing one, packing up and driving to the other. Will do a bit more research

Pretty easy. If you come down Upper Cliff, turn right as if you're heading to Lower Cliff, take the little link trail but turn right after up the fire road. Follow the fire road all the way to a proper road and turn left. The entrance to Stile Cop trails is up the road on the left. It's a 15min ish pedal.

Edit, much more obvious if you look on Trailforks  https://www.trailforks.com/region/cannock-chase/?activitytype=1&z=15.0&lat=52.73327&lon=-1.95198

At the top of Lower Cliff towards the end of the Monkey (top of the last descent), there is a clearing with a bench. If you look back the way you entered the clearing, with your back to the way that the trail continues, there is a fire road on your left. If you go follow that, it'll take you to the bottom of Stile Cop, it's not too far. Make sure you've got a decent map on your GPS, it's easy to get lost.

Ha ha, that way avoids the climb in both directions compared to my way I think.

So, this is the way.

They're very close and I always add Stile Cop into a Cannock ride. The push up path at SC is very steep if you've not been there before!

Done the Cannock trails before, but not SC. I'll be on an e-bike though

Start at the bottom of the orange line straight after the end of upper cliff, turn right at the start of the climb up to lower cliff (insidious incline?) follow that orange line and it puts you at the bottom of the stile cop park, shouldn't be able to miss it, there's a massive drop near the bottom.

Just reverse direction to go back, or you can take a really steep boring fire road to the top of lower cliff.

Not been over in a while, some of it may be underneath 8ft of bracken as it doesn't get much maintenance.

I follow the route prawny shows. If you're on an ebike then you should be able to save plenty of energy on the climb, last time I was there a guy on an ebike was getting three laps to every one of mine!
