Hi I've got a on one inbread ss 18" frame I'm building up and wondered if a 400mm seatpost is to long for the frame has any one used that length or is 350 a better option ? I like to think I can drop the seat well down if needed .
Don't see a problem I have a 410mm post in my 18" c456.
18" = 457.2mm
So plenty of space for a 400mm post.
I have a 450mm post in my 20inch 853 inbred
roox 430mm post in 18inch MK1 summer season,
no problems...
34" inside leg, 18" inbred, 400mm post. If my legs were 2" shorter I could use a 350mm post, but they're not so I can't.
no.it's impossible,if you don't die instantly,then the seatpost police will arrest you.

just as well that seat post police are so short staffed, that I got away with it for years..

I'd only think it an issue if you have bottle cage bolts on the seat tube.
you can always cut it
I present ladies with a simmillar problem on a more personal & intimate level. 🙂

I use a 400mm post on a 16" inbred 29er.
