Hi all,
Quick question, wanting to go 1x9, can you use a front ring 3/32 which are generally used for SS on a 1x9.

For example, would a shimano HG93 9sp chain fit on these 3/32 front rings ok ?.

Any advice or anyone run 3/32 chain / front ring on 9sp chain.
Thanks

I used a Surly 3/32" chainring with a 9speed chain, 1x9. I had no problems with it.

On One chainring works fine and lasts ages as it's steel. I've had a Surly ring as well and that worked well also.

37 front to an 11-32 cassette which was fine for xc racing and most dark-peak general trail riding. (26" wheel)

Dropping to a 35 with an 11-34 cassette this year though.
