Just picked up a bargainacious ario rear shock for my five, would like to get it tuned to suit the bike but eye to eye is 184 instead of 190 and stroke length is 44 instead of 50.
Now I understand that currently it'll have less travel, slightly slacker HA and a slightly lower bb height, but is it possible to have a tuner tweak the length and stroke to get me something similar to a fox 190 x 50?
Oh and will it cost a fortune?
I very much doubt you can go longer.. But I know you can go shorter.

The one that comes with the Genesis Grapil does. I don't know any more than that though...
shaft and body tube would need replacing to extend to from 184 X 44 to 190 X 50 as different units.
Better off to get correct length unit, as parts and labour will be almost the cost of the correct spec. one
