Loooking to go up there in a couple of weeks and was looking for a 20 odd mile route from the town centre. Nothing extreme as will have someone with me who doesn't really do much mountainbiking.

Scotroutes will no doubt have something more suitable but the ride through Rothiemurchus Forest up to Glen Einaich should be fine. Road to Coylumbridge campsite then take the track south just after that all the way to the Loch at the end of the track (one or two burns to ford). Return same way to the forest then take the track around Loch an Eilein
The World Cup XC trial is good but may be a bit damp and can be a bit techy when wet.
Loads of circular trails around the lochs which are very easy but scenic.
The best bet may to drop into Bothy Bikes in the town and Dave will be delighted to give you loads of options and maps.
BTW...there's loads of snow on the way...
Burma Rd loop is a classic non-technical loop round there - Sort of ride that was a big deal back in the day, a hardcore loop from the early 90s when that's what XC riding looked like.
Nice ride out in the hills, but only consider it if your friend has some riding legs under them, it would be a right slog otherwise. Proper climb on it near the start.
