As much as i care to admit it I have been looking on retrobike, I never thought it would happen to me but it has. So i was quietly thinking how things had come such a long way without actually going anywhere or getting any better in the last 20 years, but when i saw this I realised I think they have.. gotta be comparable to girvin flexstem in terms of engineering... anyone care to explain?

Tioga geodesic rear wheel?
I remember them. Looked very quirky, loads of spiel about their 'advantages', and very spensive.
Ask yourself this; if it was such a brilliant idea, why aren't all bikes using them now?
And ask yourself that of basically anything to do with bikes.
Some right snake oil out there....
my point I think, just couldnt work out how anyone coud justify so much spoke weight at the rim...
Its just some kind of cover over a normal backwheel.
They did sound good though.
One of the best products for offering no benefits at all at great expense.
