I am getting very confused whilst trying to find the right model to replace my pf bottom bracket 😳
Will I be able to press in the replacement using a headset press?
I've done it the other way round. You want to be pressing the outer race into the frame rather than pushing it in with the inner race, but yeah, it's just a steady and straight force you need.
I've done it with a headset press and two blocks of wood each side. Seemed to work ok.
The fittings on mine were the wrong sise. As trailwagger suggests you can improvise. I'm working with shimano and have tow small steel plates with holes drilled in.
Or something like this for installation, removal or splitting bearings from cups in most BBs.
This one says UK stock, but my one came from China. If you go China, maybe pay for airmail not Suez mail.
