I believe you can. You can certainly make coil u-turn Pikes in to air u-turns and vice-versa.

The inside of the stanchions of dual air forks are anodised and I think that is the only difference between those and the u-turn's stanchions.

Yes - I've converted U-turn to dual air. I wouldn't bother as the 2010 design is not clever and failed on me twice.

Don't think they did a coil in 2010. I don't think 2009 or before will work as the legs are not the same length. Why u-turn? I thought I'd miss but didn't.
