Googled it but can't get a satisfactory answer. Been offered a tatty road frame with a few chrome sections. It would have to be fully Painted, far too costly to re chrome.
It'll need to be removed ideally before painting
I had a Concorde frame that had a chrome chainstay and had it resprayed with out the chrome being fully removed and it came out fine.
IIRC the Pace frames have chrome stays wth paint on the non-drive side?
As far as I know, yes, but you need to use an 'etch primer' before hand.
I know no more than that.
Mine was just bead blasted along with the rest of the frame.
As long as the Chrome is keyed to allow good adhesion it shouldnt be a problem.
Bead blasting,or rub over with sand paper or similar to scuff up the surface should do the trick.
