Remove u-turn adjuster with Allen key, 24mm socket on top of left stanchion. Undo, change spring, do up.

spring seems stuck? cant pull it out - is this normal? Pike 409`s

Use this guide from TF Tuned instead.
Much clearer and explains why you think the spring is stuck.
