Hi im planning on buying my girlfriends brother a book for xmas on how to repair and do general maintenance on a road bike. I have just got back into mountain biking so have no idea about road biking or any good repair/maintenance books.

I was hoping for a few suggestions

Thanks a lot

I got a free dvd with some roadbike mag. shows you everything in nice simple steps. Better than any starter book imo. especially setting up mechs n stuff, just copy what they do on tv and pause/rewind etc.. Don't know if there is such a thing for sale?

The Haynes book is nice and clear with lots of photos.

I've got the Zinn book and Parks blue book. They are fine but perhaps not quite as engaging.
