Gonna get over to Les Arcs in the summer but have no interest (or money) to go with one of the tour companies. Anyone recommend a decent and cheapish campsite?

There's one by the river in bourg st maurice, proper shops etc their too so much better place to be. Simply jump on the funicular to get up to les arcs.

honest, I think you'll get way more out of it if you try to get even just a bit of guiding. you never know, some of the companies may have spare capacity and do you a day or two.
the funicular from BsM is a great way up the hill

The one right next to the two main supermarkets in bourg is nice and good location. I echo the comments about getting some guiding.
