a bit west of triglav, but super laid back and a gorgeous location.
dunno if that helps.
Not camped there but the one tj has linked to at the end of Lake Bohinj looks good, always packed. I have stayed in the hotel at the other end of the lake twice. Cracking cafe just along the road. If portion sizes are still the same you can share 1 meal between 2 ๐ Forget what the local beer is called but I preferred the dark one ๐
If you like walking there is plenty. You can take the ski lift up the mountain and walk for hrs. Various places hiring boats, kayaks and a quarry where climbing and outdoor events are held. Bike hire is just basic bikes, routes are mainly road, farm and forest tracks. Following the walking trails can end up with a fair bit of hiking if you try biking them.
Swimming in the Lake is nice. Whitewater rafting is a bit tame if the water is low but still goog fun. Nudists can be found in various nooks'n crannies along the Laeside which you can walk all the way round. Paragliding takes place from the top of the mountain above the Lake. Good walk to the takeoff point with amazing views
Bovec is another area which is very nice. Some serious biking in the bike park! Uses ski lift to access.
I think Slovenia is just nice all round, will go back some time.
Got loadsa pics but need to upload them.
Thanks folks.
TJ - I'd seen that one, but looks really busy
phatstanley - looks very small
I sound like Goldilocks!
Anyone been here
It was just the end of the season when we were there so it wasn't that busy. Has activities organised on site as well IIRC
not stayed in any, but in a guesthouse on the edge of the Triglav NP (up the hill from Kobarid, near Bovec).
Kamp Lazar looked alright when we stopped there for lunch one day.

Rode through another that looked OK, on the outskirts of Bovec. Might have been Kamp Liza, but can't be sure. http://www.camp-liza.com/eng/
Stunning scenery. Can't wait to go back. Again.
