Wondered if there I need to be cautious in anyway around the Chertsey area?
And if anyone knows of any cool trails, cafe, pubs etc in the area - that will be helpful!
I'm heading to do Swinley and surrounding area next weekend ๐
Hi
It can be a bit gypsy by the river - loads of pikeys between chertsey and shepperton.
From Chertsey you can ride along the canals to Tunnel Hill - although this is about an hour's ride.
The 2 pubs by Chertsey bridge are ok - the one on the Chertsey side is a bit better. There is a great little restaurant called Windsors in the High Street.

Had a good time at Chertsey ... and the trails are beautiful around Swinley. The river was quite nice ... though not sure about being so close to the capital?
Camped on my own ... which was not the first time ... and was surprisingly relaxing. I would do it all again ... but somewhere else next time ๐
There's pikeys everywhere.
Windsors was better when Tim was running it!
En route from chertsey you can head to horsell common which is good for an hours quick singletrack, then via chobham common and on to swinley which has some great trails if you venture deep enough.
Have fun!
