Back from a very wet and windy Llanwrtyd Wells after 3 really epic days of mountain biking in every sense of the word!
The organisers did a fabulous job with flat and despite the weather not a muddy camping field, with warm showers which were a must, AMAZING cakes at the end of each day and a very welcome feel to the event.
Each day was different in route characteristics first day super rooty muddy singletrack, the second day was epic big ups big downs and third was different again taking in some of the local trail centre trails.
Overall Big thumbs up to the first time organisers they had a hundred and one legit reasons to cancel but didn't and despite the difficult conditions kept going.
All it needs next time is a few more people to show up and and enjoy the routes!
Totally agree..you had to feel for the organisers,they did everything right and nothing was too much trouble only to be knocked back by the weather which I guess,ultimatly,had an effect on rider numbers.....think there were more marshals than riders on the saturday!
Still,as above ,great riding in a interesting area,looking forward to returning!
thanks to everyone who made the effort to attend in possibly the worst may bank holiday weather ever!
we will be going ahead again next year but maybe not on a bank holiday during school hols.
