Quick question, which may be daft, but I'll ask anyway.

The down tube front mech cable stop is like nothing I've seen before. Seems to be threaded inside, isn't big enough for an outer to slide into, certainly won't accomodate a normal end ferrule. I managed to bodge an weird odd end ferrule I had kicking about into it, which has been working fine for a year, but now that end ferrule is ripping itself apart.

What am I doing wrong?

Don't you just unscrew the adjuster from one of these and screw it into the threaded bit on your frame?... (eg you don't need the silver bit because your frame's already got the threaded section built into it).

(I have some spare if you need)

An adjuster from an old rear mech is good too.
