Needed some new Jockey wheels after Christmas so feeling a bit generous to myself. Thought about Hope then plumped for KCNC based on reviews comments on here. Ordered through Amazon at £24.94 and got e-mail saying shipment from Japan. Arrived this week - there was only one in the packet 🙁 Mistake surely? Who buys jockey wheels as singles? Anyway, checked the order and although it doesn't specifically say '1 Jockey Wheel', there is only 1 in the picture and it doesn't say it is a pair of wheels.

Sure they will return under Amazon's policy, just so long as I cover postage from and to Japan.

Just thought it would be useful to flag this up!

Don't know, but I bought some new jockey wheels from a relativelyLBS about 3 weeks ago. The packaging was translucent, I could see there was a top and bottom wheel in the packet and they cost about £30 and have Hope written on them.

Jockey wheels really are nauseatingly overpriced.

They were shiny! and hopefully somewhat more reliable than the Sram X01 jockey wheels.

Can get the KCNC ones from the UK. Definitely a pair for £26.

Did you buy the ceramic bearing one(s) as they're more expensive. Even so, £25 each is a bit steep!

Perfectly happy with Tacx jobs bought for under £15. Aside from the lairy green colour they seem to last okay and shift reasonably well.

Didn't see the option to get them from UK and no, not ceramic: ss bearings. Once bitten, twice shy and all that!

My Wife treated me to some of these & I think she got them from XCracer as linked to above.
She doesn't like buying me bike stuff really, but this is the kind of thing that I'd never treat myself to, so she relented!

To be honest, they work OK but the anodising lasts for hardly any time before the chain wears it off and you don't really notice the remaining red once the chain & cages are in the way. Probably wouldn't bother again, but they aren't bad.

Sounds like you've been diddled though, only getting one!

Wiggle used to sell Sram Powerlinks singly (i.e. One half of what you need to join a chain). I suppose it was fine for those that had lost a bit.

check Cyclomonster. They look good and seem to be lasting far longer than the S**M ones I've used over the years. £6.95 each

I meant in my link (XCRacer), not from Amazon.

For me, its the fact the bearings keep spinning smoothly for ever*, rather than the bling factor.

*The teeth on my last set were practically worn away but the SS bearing was still spinning like new.

Thanks, verses. I meant I hadn't found any link to a UK supplier. One of the reasons I though I would go a bit upmarket was a ride ovber the holidays where my jockeys completely froze due to water ingress on a cold day and I wanted to get something with decent bearings. By the time I pay the postage to retrun these and then have him deduct the unkown postage costs to me from my refund, I imagine I will have lost so much it won't be worth it, so maybe save as a spare and just put it down to experience. I'll save your link for next time and get some cheaper ones in the meantime!

One of my KCNC ones had the bearing seize leading to 2 teeth being bent and one of them tearing off. If I need to get more I will buy the solid Mt Zoom ones from XCracer.

I got a pair of Aerozines in blingy red ano with huge mud gathering cutouts for about twenty quid in an LBS at Christmas when the standard items in my X9 RD gave up going round...

I spotted that the one the day before a race, not sure it would have made it to the end!

Although part of me is tempted to stick it on the roady and see how much longer it lasts 🙂

Probably worth contacting Amazon and seeing what their returns policy is with stuff from other sellers.
You could go possibly try the "mis-described" avenue; I'd have expected them to be sold in pairs and for an advert to make it clear it was just for a single item.

If this is the advert it says "wheel" but also says "accessories" so not clear that it's singular or plural...
