Hi all,

Advice needed please:

Front brake seized(ish) when pulling on the lever.
So basically the lever is staying close to the bars and taking a while to release. Pistons wont retract for several minutes.

I bled them about 4 rides ago. It went well and theyve been fine until now.

Any ideas please?

Piston in the lever sticking, a common problem that's well documented on here.

Are they the old or new style caliper (bleeding edge port or normal bleed port)?

The earlier ones (non bleeding-edge) can have an issue with the piston in the brake lever master cylinder swelling up in hot weather.

Thanks.

They are the older non-bleeding edge port.

So it looks like a disassembly of the lever:

I’m alright with bleeding the brakes but not only does this look time consuming- I simply don't trust myself not to completely mess this up.

Looks likes it’s a trip to the LBS. Don’t really have the money for this 🙁
