Hi

Thinking of buying a used F&F from an individual in Europe. It's a bit niche so worth the hassle.

How would STW do it? The F&F is legit and in good almost new condition.

Whats the best way of paying and having some certainty/ recourse?

What sort of cost for shipping and anything to watch out for? How have others done it?

PayPal but not gift should be fairly safe.

Shipping a frame from Scotland to The Netherlands cost me about £60 with Parcelforce, not sure about the other way.

Start with zero "recourse", is it still worth the risk?

it might be cheapest/easiest/most fun to easyjet out there and back again if its somewhere near an airport. Get a weekend's riding in and definitely declare it for tax reasons on the way back home

I paid 20 quid manchester to alicante in January, 60 quid for the bike, I d go and collect and pay cash.  Customs may want a cut if you courier it, spain certainly would.

Belgium.

Surely PayPal will give some protection - it covers goods that aren't as described or don't turn up/ turn up damaged. Surely that's pretty good recourse?

What would a courier base any charges on? I guess there must be forms to fill in now?

Could get it sent to a mate in France who comes over  in a  van every couple of weeks....
