[Closed] Burly 29er forks - any realistic rivals to the Lyrik?

So I need a 160mm fork for a 29er with the following qualities...

non-boost
burlier than a Pike
excellent damping
reliability / 2yr warranty
46mm offset if possible

The Lyrik is available for about £625, but I think it's 51mm offset only. And although the damping is very good, it's not quite up there with the best forks I've ridden (they were coil though).

I can't really afford much more than that - so I think the Fox 36 and Ohlins are out. Am I going to end up with a Lyrik then?

Probably. It would seem like the most obvious choice - as you say the 36 and Ohlins are more expensive.

Maybe DVO Diamond? Not sure what travel in 29er is avaikabke though.

What's it going on?

For a Mega 290.

I think it's gonna be a lyrik, the price of top end forks has gone nuts eh?

Ah I remember your issue with the wrong size one.... I'm on the lookout for an XL...

Big 29er fork deals pop up now and again second hand but more often 140 or 150mm travel. New ones are crazy prices!

No idea where to buy or how much they are but youd think these would be a cheaper alternative: https://www.pinkbike.com/news/suntour-goes-long-with-160-travel-durolux-29er-fork--taipei-cycle-show.html

Cheers Willy, interesting but appears to be boost only.

I reckon I'll get the Lyrik and maybe mod it later on if necessary.

There will probably be a coil conversion kit available soon enough.
