My old Altura Night Vision has finally quit being at all waterproof, and I need a replacement.

I have a newer Night Vision, but the pit zips have gone, and on reading here zip problems on Altura kit have become very commonplace, so I'm not looking for another Altura.

I'm between jobs at the moment, so budget is important.

I'd also like something that could double up as a walking waterproof as well if possible.

I've checked TK Maxx, but no joy.

Any bargains out there?

Cheers!

P

Sports pursuit has some really good reductions on berghaus jackets starting around the £50 mark.

have you tried a re-proofer? tech wash & DX or rangers etc?

a wash and reproof every once and a while can really make waterproofs last and perform better when they start to degrade

Edit my grans great on the sowing machine and loves doing it so has replaced zips and re-enforced all sorts of my bike, running and bivy kit

It's a tad beyond just a reproof...
