We (SingletrAction) have been helping out with this development in Buck Woods, near Thackley / Idle. The plan is to develop a skills spot with a range of drops, jumps, a pump track, some trials boulders / rock spines and a little timber work.

The project involves us, local shop Crosstrax (in Rodley), Bradford MBC, BCEP and Friends of Buck Woods. Most of the £10k budget has been spent on materials etc and there's still a rake of work to be done by any willing volunteers. So this is an open inviatation to anyone who wants to get involved.

It's a spot for anyone and everyone (particularly 20 and 26 inchers). So far we have a number of workable (but not finished) roll ins, a jump line (still being tweaked, with a surface to die on rather than for ;-), the boulder spine etc.

There's general information, links to pics etc here:

And specific stuff about the latest dig days here:

The next one is planned for this Sunday, 21 June at 10:00 am.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated and, unlike our work on FC sites, you don't need to be a SingletrAction member to dig.

There's a mailing list for anyone who wants updates and details of forthcoming digs. If you want to be on it send an email to chairman@singletraction.org.uk

This is a great location with a lot of potential.
If anyone can spare some time this Sunday it would be much appreciated, bring a bike too, the first few jumps are fun, even I can (just) get over them.
If you are coming a barrow, and a spade and/or shovel would be handy.

Aim is to get the jump line finished ASAP so we can then start on the pumptrack and the timber stuff.
