First off, we're digging in 50 Acre Wood this Saturday. We've been given tonnes of stone to play with by the local quarry, and have tools people can use, so just come along and lend a hand. Details here:

There's also some massively exciting news - we're getting a proper urban pump track (under the flyover opposite the Create Centre). The track is going to be built by a professional trail builder (dunno who, they haven't awarded the tender yet) in co-operation with local riders, who will also have input into the design of the track. More details here:

Can you look at deconflicting these with the Bike Jumble some time? They always seem to be together and I need to sell stuff to maintain my bike habit! Great news on the pump track BTW!
Can't lend a hand at this build day but I'll be more than willing to after the 1st October, re-locating down there soon. Is there some sort of email list?
Out of interest whereabouts is 50 acre wood?
Pump track sounds awesome. Gotten very used to blasting around the Lee Quarry one until I can't breathe.
If you register on www.bristoltrailsgroup.com I can spam - I mean, notify you when there's a dig day coming up. Or search for "Bristol Trails Group" on Facebook and "like" us, if you're so inclined.

TooTall, our trail days are actually a bit "as and when" at the moment because of my other commitments - I'm sure there'll be one which doesn't clash with the BJ (oo-er) soon. We tried having them on Sundays before but attendance plummeted, I guess mountain bikers are all religious. Some people come to the jumble for a couple of hours before digging which is fine by me - although obviously if you're selling stuff I expect you want to stick around all day.
Forgot to say, we're on Twitter too if you're a media luvvy type. ๐

sounds good, work started on our pump track/trails in tavistock last week.
i think steve tonkin from the track@portreath is the prime contractor.
Top news on the pump track mr_a - I can jey my way around! No doubt mini-clubber will be putting me to shame on it before too long...
It should be great - hopefully it'll be something that anyone can build up to pumping and jumping on, but keep the better guys happy too. And it's a surprisingly good workout, 5 laps in a row and you'll be hanging! It's being funded from Cycling City, which shows it's not all about bike paths and (slightly crappy) free bells.
Cheers for the heads up Jambo, will check him out.
