As of last night lots of surface water on top of hard mud, I managed to ride AC, Leigh Woods and 50 acre SS with a semi slick on the rear last night (albeit carefully in places), so it's not too bad.

However with the rain forecast tomorrow and into the next couple of weeks the mud tyres will be going on this weekend.

Yups Tuesday night consisted of a nice film of water on top of hard mud, made the crossmarks work, spikes will be on next week with the forcast rain.

I concur, Leigh Woods was slightly better

Thanks chaps.
Been out and just got back.
Leigh Woods - no thick mud, but a thin sheen on everything making it very slippery
50 Acre - Perfect, well done to the builders
Ashton Court - pretty good, no thick mud, not too slippy.

Saw these fellows too, right by the trail:

There are a lot of young deer in the woods at the moment. Two silently jogged along side us in 50 acre on Tuesday night.
