I'm a classic lurker and don't often post so please excuse the essay that follows ๐Ÿ˜‰ At last year's Bikefest, some of you may remember this lot (led by T-Rex on here)...

They were part of a 4 man Bikefest team that competed in the 12 hour event on a selection of rather, well, inappropriate, bikes. These included a child's bike, a BMX, a fixie road bike and last but not least, a Santa Cruz Super 8 DH bike complete with Marzocchi Monster T forks and dual ply Minions. They raised a fantastic sum of money for Macmillan Cancer Support and didn't come last ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

Well the good news is, we're BACK. There's been a reshuffle of the team following a recently broken collar bone, a hatred of small bikes and a return from bike-related broken hand. This year we'll be competing in the 12 hour 4 man team event on childs' bikes. We've got the lot from rigid 1x5, hardtails and even a full suss 'freeride' bike. Once again we'll be supporting Macmillan (shameless plug http://www.justgiving.com/Olly-Corker) so come and find us, say hello and any loose change you happen to donate will be greatly appreciated. We'll be the ones in pink T-shirts wandering around like hunchbacks...on really small bikes.

The bikes have been very kindly donated by Jamie at Bristol Bike Project ( http://www.thebristolbikeproject.org/ - they deserve a plug) and we'll be donating them back afterwards.

One last thing, shame on you if one of us overtakes you! ๐Ÿ˜‰

Pre-emptive chapeau guys, one year would be more than enough for me!

At least I'm not going to get overtaken by a bloke on a fixie. Hopefully. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Love the sulking pout in the top picture to match the kid's bike. ๐Ÿ˜€

I'll look out for you on the day.

Thanks chaps.

Mr A - fortunately for you (and to a larger extent, us), the fixie's not taking part this year.

Brilliant - I was overtaken by you guys several times last year, so look forward to some more humiliation this weekend.

The machines are undergoing some last minute tweaks to get them in peak condition for overtaking the unwary...

As we were nursing our hunched backs and ruined knees on Sat avo, one or two people commented that the link above didn't work. Which it doesn't. Because I'm a muppet. So here it is again:

Many thanks to Carl who we spoke to after the race for pointing this out and for the generous donation ๐Ÿ˜€

Shameless plug over, I promise.
