Looks like I'll actually make it to the world cup this year... I'll be in Inverness for the weekend so driving down to the Fort instead of up, and I see there's a shuttle service from Spean Bridge. Seems to make sense to park there and bus down, rather than get into the scrum, but just wondered if anyone had used that shuttle and where it leaves from, how good it was etc...
The alternative I can think of is just finding somewhere to park up that way and riding in, it's only about 6 miles from Spean Bridge to Nevis Range by road... But I've heard that they block off and marshall all the laybys and sideroads etc?
I've used the shuttle from Fort William town centre before and it was fine, although we were on the first bus in so it was almost empty. Even on the bus back into town afterwards we had no queue, left just after the last run, rather than waiting for the podium. Gutted I'm not going ๐
Used the Spean Bridge one last time I was up (2008). No problems getting parked and bus stop pretty much outside Spean Bridge Hotel. 10 minutes or so and no delays.
