Anyone thinking of doing Carn Ban Mor via the access road on the west side of the River Feshie should note that the bridge at Carnachuin has gone. That's the bridge that crosses the Feshie at the foot of the climb.
There is another bridge just upstream of Stontoper Cottage which is still there. There is a sign which states that this is the last bridge crossing the Feshie. We doubted that and rode past it into the mother of all headwinds yesterday, to find the bridge marked on the map had gone.
Happened about 3 months ago.
Cant see the estate replacing it in a huge hurry - they've already replaced the other bridge and the river can usually be forded at the bend just North of the old bridge (not right now of course)and at another point further South
