Hi all
Some may know I've moved to Australia which is for me a great move however it did mean leaving family and friends behind.
Before I left Brian and I went for a spin/run together around Beacon Fell, you the one last time thing. Well I've had the footage for almost a year and I thought it was time to make the video which proved to be harder than I imagined.
He now lives with the In-laws who have a cottage in the countryside. Brian's days consist of walks, sleeping, patrolling his massive garden and chasing rabbits. He still has a wood burner to sleep in front of so don't feel to bad for the little guy.
I hope you enjoy the video as much as I do and I'm sure I'll make another with him in the future
Regards
Scott
Now there's a dog who liked like he was having fun!
Nice that.... lovely way to remember him. ๐
i was expecting a different type of video! Hope you have great time.
Very nice indeed.
nice...
Dusty in the office today.
Great video! ๐
Great vid, cheers for sharing. I'd imagine it must of been hard leaving a "loveable rogue" like him behind for you.
It's also quite dusty where I'm at today as well.
Great wee film, thanks.
Nice video by the way.... must be tough to watch sometimes.
skills scott
Lying after nights chilling and play this, my Border is at my feet curled up.
Lump in my throat now and I don't get emotional easy.
Brilliant stuff.
You cruel, heartless fiend. How could you leave him behind! ๐ฅ
Lovely vid. ๐
tear in my eye too.....!
Cheers for the comments guys,
It was and at times still is hard knowing that I've left him behind. Any dog I meet now is given lots of attention! more than I should especially when I'm at work.
Brian certainly is a loveable rogue, like scrappy doo who he has also been referred to!

๐ and ๐ฅ at the same time. A very special video.
You must have needed a waterproof keyboard editing that!
Enjoyed that. Cheers for sharing
What a lovely wee dog and great Vid. Dusty eyes here too . I made a wee vid about 3 years ago with my dog , Im a bit wary of taking him out as he is getting older and his hips aint what they used to be.

Hi Scott, have to confess I got a bit worried when I saw the title, but it's great to see the wee fella again (when I can see through the dust here, anyway!). Hope all's going well in Oz, maybe see you back at Gizzy sometime.
Woody water proof key board indeed, the wife cried instantly when she watched it. However it's got dusty at my place all of a sudden! reading the comments and actually thinking about it at length does make you well up a little. Thanks again for the comments.
Tony good to hear from you, I hope that you're well? I didn't really know how to word the title but felt that those in the know would remember Brian.
When I visit the UK I'll be sure to head down to a dig day. How are the new tracks coming along?
That's ace. I enjoyed that
I have something in my eye
As a fellow biker with dog I can feel for you
He's going to miss you, you know. Heartbroken, he'll be.
Lump in my throat...
All well here, thanks Scott.
And we're still digging our little hearts out, though we've still not managed to incorporate those steps you wanted anywhere yet! Latest new section (Swoopy) was officially opened just before Christmas, and seems to be proving popular. Lots of pics and comments here...

That last post just turned up the dust level!
Very dusty here at STW Towers today ๐
Great vid...
Thank you OP ๐
Nice - got all emotional even though I know he's fine!
Just to increase the dustiness;

He sells prints and will ship to the UK.
best vid I have seen in a long time really enjoyed that, brought a tear to my eye, well done
Just when I thought I was getting through the January blues and then I went and watch the video! ๐
Lovely video! ๐
Again thanks for the comments everyone.
I was just locking up and saw the keys and I remembered I had his name tag on them, actually made me smile as It reminded me of the little noise it made on his collar when he does his best Gromit trot/walk!
Chipps if the want to add it to the list on Wednesday please feel free ;-)
Lump in my throat...
Cheers for sharing. enjoy Oz.
Dig days at Gisburn haven't been quite the same without him suddenly appearing in the hole you're digging. Good to hear from you, bet it's a tad warmer where you are now, it was sunny digging yesterday right up to the point it started to snow.
Got more new trails and a brand new carpark opening in the spring, be worth a trip back just for those, they need Brian testing at the very least ๐
nice little vid ๐
Jeez I would be on the first plane home.! ๐ฅ
Great video. Some one left the dust machine on in the office here clearly.
Honest guv, it's just a bit of dust in my eye...both eyes!
That is one of the nicest videos I have seen in a while! Sums up what it's all about, just having fun with the little fella.
Aaaah.
*Working from home. Must have forgotten to do the cleaning. Clouds of it.*
I bet you must be reminiscing like crazy.......muddy trails there's a blast from the past eh ๐
Great video.
One of the worst things about leaving my home (splitting up), was knowing I wouldn't get the daily trailhound rides anymore. Luckily I can still go back and take her for a hurtle through the woods.
Folk who don't do the dog-bike thing just don't appreciate how great it is.
Damn dusty here too!
What a great dog, agreed with above, hes a mutt that looks like he enjoys every minute of it!
Off to take my hound for a stroll in the snow methinks..
Managed about 10 seconds of that, we lost our Border (who was the spitting image of Brian) a few months ago. ๐
Couldn't do that to my dog. ๐ฅ
Brill vid , must of been hard leaving such a lovely dog ๐ ... nice to hear he`s doing ok at the in laws ๐
Great vid. Do pleased he's enjoying his "retirement"!!
Jon, great to hear the trails are doing well. I still get the meeting updates so have a look every now and then! Trail tested by Brian, am sure there are other willing mutt's who'll gladly do the job!
Trails are good here a bit behind the times but access is becoming more wide spread, and the checky trails are everywhere. The council I work at has a good network of trails due to its location. I've been dragged out by the trails development guy, not like I mind, due to being spotted with my park tools mug in the brew room!
Worrying about a dog being in the hole you're digging is the least of the issues, snakes, spiders and inch ants are more concerning!
Hot riding home last week 45.7degrees!
Again thanks for all the comments.
Great video!
Im not a dog lover, but after watching that i can see how you could get attached - he is a cutie.
The connection you have with each other is magic ๐
Dust.............
Dog owner myself and can't imagine having to do this! Then again don't think I could get the missus over there. Maybe me and Scooby should go and leave the missus here ๐ Great vid. Have fun....
