Fruit and fibre and tea. If I'm doing a big ride will eat a tin of Ambrosia creamed rice too. It rocks.

For 'best' you want whatever combo of protein, low fat & complex carbs you find most palatable.

Mu usual candidates are oats/skimmed milk/fruit/nuts, eggs/wholemeal bread/toms but often resort to 'muesli bar', banana and coffee if I'm rushed.......

Summer, muesli and pint mug of coffee, winter, same coffee but porridge with dried fruit and marzipan stirred in. De-bleedin'-licious!

Normal: Weetabix/Special K/Muesli and tea ... sprinkling of dried fruit, nuts and sometimes pineapple or nana.

Extravagant: 2 x Ham and eggs (and sometimes cheese) on toast ... and tea.

Never eat any breakfast. I like to work for the first 90 mins or so on an empty stomach, increases the fat burn. Then I will usually "break fast" on a banana
