Brake hose fittings - reusing

The hose for my rear brake has always been functional, but is a wee bit short. Hence, it leaves the rear calipers at a wierd angle, and is a bit exposed to potential damage, and looks, quite ftrankly, bodged. It came off another bike, so I had to make do with what I had.

I've hunted high and low, but nowhere seems to have in stock Shimano BH90, with a banjo connection, long enough to reach, and in black.

I can get just the hose. So, is it safe/wise/stupid to pull out the fittings and reuse them? I've never had trouble bleeding and sorting out hoses in the past, just never messed with the fittings themselves.
