Evening all,

I've got a IS mount mini m4 that I will need to fit onto my post mount forks which are design to accept a 183 disc with no adapter. I don't really want to go bigger than 183 as I'll be 'over braked' and people will think I'm more of a numpty than I already am. 😮

Which adapter do I need, or will I have to put a larger disc on the front?

Thanks

You haven't said what size your rotor is. If it's 183 I fail to see the problem. KCNC tend to do a number of problem solving adapters.

Is it not just a case of PM>IS 183?

its + 20mm on rotor size I believe to solve that. Someone on here did mention an adapter that didn't involve a rotor change on a previous thread but it had limited compatability.

Herman on your second point you need an adapter to effectivly turn the mounting holes through 90deg. Typically it goes behind the post mount on the fork so moves the caliper back. As a result you have to.go up one disc size.

These are the KCNC adapters mentioned above - should do what you want (without having to go up a rotor size).

Use one of these, no increase in rotor size and suitable for most forks (but not all)

it looks like this on the bike -

They showed out of stock when I ordered mine, they had replenished stock in less than 24hrs after I called them. I think they're pretty speedy. Despatch was fast too from memory
