Just changed the seals in my boxxers. With the Racing bros seal kit came two crush washers, didnt bother changing them as thought id just do it if they leaked and needed doing. Well theres a little leak on the damper side but looking at the RS service manual the crush washer on the damper side looks different to the spring side (and different to the ones in the seal kit). Also weirdly in the Boxxer team manual its called a crush washer and in the world cup manual its reffered to as a crush washer retainer.
So, can i just use the normal crush washer or do i need to track down this different crush washer for the damper side?
Depending on year the damper side has a different metal washer and plastic crush washer arrangement, so yes you may need to use a rockshox specific.
