I'm going to working in Bourne for a few months this summer. On the map the nearby Bourne Woods looks promising. The Forestry Commision website promises [i]cycle trails[/i] but is there any singletrack in there ?
There is a few in there but not alot the best tracks are stamford way.

fineshade and wakerley woods on the otherside of stamford from bourne have a few tracks and there are lots of bridleways to explore, nothing too exciting but its better than nothing .
best bet is to get the explorer map
Fineshade is very sanitised as it is more for families as it has the campsite there. Few little downhill-ish runs have been killed by forestry work recently as well. Wakerly would be the pick of the 2. Went there for the first time the other week and it is the best of what is a on offer. Biking there from P'boro is a good way to get some miles down as well 😀
