MegaSack DRAW - This year's winner is user - rgwb
We will be in touch
I’ve just fitted my bottom bracket onto my bike. Drive side no problems or concerns. Non drive side seemed to go in smoothly by hand but then needed the tool about 1/3rd way in. The bottom bracket and shell had copper grease applied and some white grease already applied (shimano square taper bb) which is roughly where it became more difficult to turn. When turning with tool it was still relatively easy and smooth with the odd tighter point. When fully tightened it doesn’t seem to sit square but that may be because the bb shell hasn’t been faced. I decided to remove it and check and threads appeared ok and no metal shards, when screwing back in it was a bit easier all the way but still sits the same? All ok or get it looked at??
It's fine then, no shards. Can be just dirt on threads.
Sounds fine
