Are the boss bolts on bikes all the same size? I have a Kinesis XC120 and a bolt that goes fine into a bottle boss (m5 I think) does not want to go into the hole nearest the chainstay. I don't want to force it, so I'm wondering if I have the wrong bolt.

they are all M5 mate. maybe you have a unf bolt or something? 10-32 unf is similar.or more likely debris in the thread

does the same bolt fit in the other holes?
have you had a bolt in there before?
i doubt if it any other thread,, but it may have been damaged while the nutsert was fitted at the factory,, you could retap the hole with a m5 tap
Yup, the bolt fits in the other holes fine.
It's a brand new frame, so I've never had a bolt in there before. I'll see if there is a tap I can borrow.
Paint in the hole probably, my Kinesis was a nightmare, couldn't get any of the bolts in because of the amount of paint!
They are all M5.
